A quick and easy sangria recipe combining dry red wine, fresh summer berries, and juicy peaches with a splash of orange juice and a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml (25 fl oz) dry red wine (medium-bodied like Tempranillo or Garnacha)
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh summer berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 large peach, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 medium orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) brandy (optional)
  • 2 tbsp (25 g) sugar (or honey/agave syrup as substitute)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Sparkling water or club soda (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rinse summer berries gently under cold water. Hull and slice strawberries if using. Peel and slice the peach into thin wedges, discarding the pit. Thinly slice the orange crosswise into rounds. Set aside a few orange slices for garnish.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine dry red wine, freshly squeezed orange juice, and brandy. Stir gently to blend.
  3. Sprinkle in sugar and add the cinnamon stick. Stir carefully until sugar dissolves. If using honey or agave, add and whisk until incorporated.
  4. Add sliced peaches, orange rounds, and mixed berries to the pitcher. Stir gently to coat the fruit and submerge the cinnamon stick.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, remove the cinnamon stick. Optionally, top each glass with sparkling water or club soda, add ice cubes, and garnish with reserved orange slices or fresh mint.

Notes

Use medium-bodied dry red wine like Tempranillo or Garnacha for best flavor. Stir gently to avoid bruising fruit. Chill for several hours or overnight for best taste. Avoid leaving fruit in sangria more than 24 hours to prevent mushiness. Pre-chill wine and orange juice to keep sangria cold without diluting with ice.
