A quick and easy 3-ingredient frozen margarita recipe combining frozen watermelon, blueberries, tequila, and fresh lime juice for a refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups frozen watermelon cubes (seedless)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) tequila blanco
  • Juice of 1 large lime (about 2 tablespoons)
  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons agave syrup or honey
  • Salt or TajΓn for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. Freeze the watermelon cubes for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Prepare the glass rims by moistening with lime juice and dipping into salt or TajΓn; set aside.
  3. In a high-speed blender, combine frozen watermelon and frozen blueberries; blend on high for 1-2 minutes until slushy.
  4. Add tequila blanco and fresh lime juice to the blender.
  5. Add optional sweetener if desired.
  6. Pulse blend briefly to combine without melting the fruit too much.
  7. Taste and adjust lime juice or sweetener as needed; blend briefly again.
  8. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a lime wedge or fresh blueberries.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use only frozen fruit for the best slushy texture. Pulse blend to avoid melting the fruit too much. Adjust sweetness and tartness to taste. Rim glasses just before serving to prevent salt clumping. For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
