These individual s’mores pies in mason jars offer a neat, portable twist on the classic campfire treat, featuring a crunchy graham cracker crust, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallow topping with a festive flag design.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (finely crushed)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 6 ounces chocolate bars (chopped, mix of milk and semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows
  • Red and blue sprinkles or edible stars (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for the jars.
  2. Crush 1 ½ cups of graham crackers to fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin in a ziplock bag.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with 6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  4. Divide the crust mixture evenly into each mason jar, pressing down firmly to form a compact base. Place jars on the lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake the jars in the oven for 8-10 minutes until the crust is golden and set. Remove and let cool slightly.
  6. Melt 6 ounces of chopped chocolate bars in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  7. Pour an even layer of melted chocolate over the crust in each jar (about 1-2 tablespoons). Set aside to let the chocolate firm slightly, about 10 minutes in the fridge.
  8. In a small bowl, mix 1 cup marshmallow fluff with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Fold in ½ cup mini marshmallows.
  9. Spoon the marshmallow mixture over the chocolate layer, smoothing it out.
  10. Toast the marshmallow topping under a preheated broiler for 1-3 minutes, watching carefully and rotating jars for even toasting, or use a kitchen torch.
  11. Decorate with red, white, and blue sprinkles or edible stars to create a flag design while the topping is still warm.
  12. Let the pies rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Press the graham cracker crust firmly into the jars to prevent crumbling. Use a kitchen torch for controlled marshmallow toasting or watch carefully under the broiler. To avoid glass cracking, place jars on a baking sheet lined with a kitchen towel under the broiler. Prepare crust and chocolate layers ahead and add marshmallow topping just before serving for best texture. Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days and reheat gently.
