These easy turkey and cheese pinwheel roll-ups are a quick, 10-minute lunchbox solution made with simple pantry ingredients. They hold up beautifully, are kid-approved, and perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size, about 10-inch)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 810 slices deli turkey
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions (green parts only)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the cream cheese mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  2. Lay out a tortilla flat on a cutting board. Using a rubber spatula, spread about 3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly across the entire surface, going all the way to the edges.
  3. Layer 2-3 slices of deli turkey on top of the cream cheese mixture, overlapping slightly to cover the entire tortilla evenly.
  4. Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla tightly without tearing, keeping the filling tucked in as you go.
  5. Place the rolled tortilla seam-side down on plastic wrap or parchment paper. Wrap tightly, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 24 hours).
  6. After chilling, unwrap the rolls and place on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, slice into 1-inch thick rounds using a gentle sawing motion. Wipe the knife clean between cuts.
  7. Arrange pinwheels cut-side up on a plate or in a lunchbox. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Chilling is essential for clean cuts. Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid tearing tortillas. For best results, make the night before. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze uncut rolls for up to 2 months.
