These bite-sized kabobs capture the classic flavors of a turkey club sandwich with a fun, portable twist, perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) turkey breast slices, deli-style (smoked or roasted preferred)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed and toasted, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup leafy lettuce (romaine or butter lettuce), torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 oz (115g) sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Remove crusts from sandwich bread and cut into 1-inch cubes. Toast the cubes in a toaster or oven at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Let cool.
  3. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Assemble the kabobs by threading onto skewers in this order: bread cube, folded turkey slice, bacon piece, cheddar cube, cherry tomato, and lettuce leaf. Fit 3-4 full sets per skewer.
  5. Serve the kabobs with the sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling. Keep sauce refrigerated if preparing ahead.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before use to prevent burning. Toast bread cubes until golden to avoid sogginess. Assemble kabobs up to 2 hours ahead and keep sauce separate until serving. Use gluten-free bread or dairy-free cheese for dietary needs.
