  • 3 tablespoons balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh lemon zest from 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the asparagus by snapping off the woody ends (about 1 to 2 inches from the bottom). Place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Toss asparagus in olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until lightly coated.
  4. Group about 6 to 8 asparagus stalks per bundle. Wrap one slice of bacon around each bundle starting near the bottom, spiraling up. Secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine if needed.
  5. Place bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, spaced out evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking at 15 minutes to ensure bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender but bright green. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle with 2 to 3 tablespoons of balsamic glaze while still warm. Sprinkle fresh lemon zest on top if desired.
