An easy and romantic dessert featuring fresh strawberries dipped in a variety of melted chocolates, perfect for cozy date nights and quick to prepare in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 g) fresh strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
  • 4 oz (115 g) dark chocolate chips or baking bars
  • 4 oz (115 g) milk chocolate chips (optional)
  • 2 oz (55 g) white chocolate chips (optional)
  • Handful of roasted almonds or pecans
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Biscotti or thin crispy cookies
  • Sea salt flakes (for sprinkling)
  • Optional: shredded coconut or crushed pistachios
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Optional: Β½ teaspoon vanilla extract (to stir into melted chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly to ensure chocolate sticks well.
  2. Melt dark, milk, and white chocolates separately using a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
  3. Arrange small bowls or ramekins filled with each melted chocolate on a wooden or slate serving board.
  4. Place strawberries around the bowls and add dippables such as almonds, biscotti, and marshmallows.
  5. Dip strawberries halfway into chocolate, place on parchment paper, and sprinkle with sea salt, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut if desired. Let set at room temperature for about 10 minutes or refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with small forks or skewers and enjoy.

Notes

Dry strawberries thoroughly to prevent chocolate from seizing. Melt chocolate slowly and stir often to maintain smooth texture. Reheat chocolate gently if it thickens during dipping. Store dipped strawberries separately from dry dippables to avoid sogginess. Serve at room temperature for best flavor.
